Optima’s first EcoTeam kicked off with a bang on Wednesday. There was lots of enthusiasm for what was discussed and lots of ideas for how to take EcoTeams forward. Here is some of the feedback:
“I learnt how to save money and energy”
“Very interesting … lots of information”
“I will discuss some of the information I have learnt with other residents and also local parents”
“The trainer gave valuable information as well as sharing great ideas on how to save energy.”
“I learnt that I can be even more responsible for my energy usage.”
“I will be able to monitor and control my costs a lot more.”
Participants were encouraged to think about what the next steps were for them:
“I will stay in the shower for a shorter time”
“I will make sure the TV is off”
“The next steps will be sharing with others how important our environment is by making a difference.”

The ultimate comment was that the evening “could have been a little longer”, which is always a good sign. Well done to the staff and residents who lead the meeting.
