| A shower flow regulator keeps the flow of a shower at an efficient 7.5 litres a minute, lower than a typical shower fed from a hot water tank. It is not suitable on electric showers as they are already efficient. | |
| A water efficient showerhead delivers a good shower with a flow of around eight litres a minute. Again this is more efficient than a typical mains-fed shower and is not suitable for electric showers . | |
| A shower timer helps keep track of how long you spend in the shower and is a reminder about taking short showers. | |
| Tap inserts mix air with the water flowing form the taps, so they use less water. Not suitable on kitchen taps or baths where you need a fixed amount of water. | |
